As one of the oldest biological field research stations in the country, the Flathead Lake Biological Station is a global leader in aquatic research and education. FLBS’s academic and experiential programs inspire curiosity, deepen understanding of waters and watersheds and empower future generations to responsibly steward lakes, rivers and oceans.
Giving today means:
- Continuing research at Flathead Lake that shapes how the world understands water and the life that depends on it
- More experiential learning opportunities for students engaging in internships and field studies
- Ongoing important water quality and biological monitoring for lakes and rivers across Montana
Thank you for ensuring that our dedicated students and scientists can continue to share knowledge with researchers, decision-makers and our community.
