Keep print alive! At a time when many journals and newspapers are closing or moving online, Camas Magazine is still proudly in print. For more than 35 years, our environmental magazine has shared outstanding writing, poetry, art and photography. Each issue invites readers to slow down, turn the page and connect with the natural world.
Camas was founded by graduate students in 1992. Since then, we have brought together writers and artists who care deeply about the lands and communities of the Mountain West. We publish work that celebrates life “Out West,” including eco-poems, journalism and reflections on favorite hikes, changing seasons and the natural world around us.
