UM Speech and Debate

For over 70 years, University of Montana Speech and Debate has helped students find their voice, think critically and speak with confidence. Students from across campus join a team where they build leadership skills, make friends and grow as speakers.

In competition, our team consistently succeeds at the national level. We compete each year at the Pi Kappa Delta National Speech and Debate tournament and throughout the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain West circuit. These events are held out-of-state, making participation more challenging for students. You can help offset our travel expenses, registration fees, administrative costs and more.

When you give, you help students sharpen their voices, strengthen their arguments and compete with confidence. Thank you for helping them represent UM beyond Montana.
