The UM Biodiversity Research Collections provides hands-on learning for students, fuels scientific discovery and connects people of all ages with our natural world. Deeply rooted in UM’s history, the MONTU Herbarium, the Philip L. Wright Zoological Museum, and the Paleontology Center help prepare the next generation of scientists, teachers, land stewards, artists, museum professionals and engaged citizens.
You can help expand opportunities for UM students to preserve and care for collections, build exhibits and share their love of science with their community. Students come to the collections from academic programs ranging from biology and forestry to art and museum studies. They leave with valuable professional experience preserving and sharing biodiversity specimens from around the world.
Thank you for supporting science, curiosity and career learning for UM students!
