Military and Veteran Services Office

Saying, “Thank you for your service” is only the beginning of our commitment to military and veteran students. At the University of Montana, the Military and Veteran Services Office is dedicated to making the transition to college, during or after service, a meaningful experience. With your help, we can ensure veterans and service members arrive on campus with a strong sense of belonging and purpose as they begin a new mission.

Nearly 10% of UM students are military affiliated, including more than 400 student veterans and over 100 students currently serving. Adjusting to college life after military service brings unique challenges, from navigating new cultural norms to finding community. MVSO provides the space, programs and events that help these students succeed both in and out of the classroom.
