Every family touched by autism knows how important it is to have the right support. The University of Montana’s YETI Program gives children with autism a place to grow, learn and belong. YETI, which stands for Youth Engagement Through Intervention, focuses on helping kids build the social understanding that makes friendships, school and everyday life more joyful.
What makes YETI special is that learning doesn’t just stay in the classroom. Children practice their skills out in the community, ride the city bus, join field trips and enjoy all that our community has to offer, while they are surrounded by encouragement and skilled care.
The need is tremendous. Last summer, more than 70 families applied to join YETI’s summer program, but we were only able to welcome 22 children. With your help, more families will have access to summer programs, resources and experiences that change lives. Together, we can open doors to connection and opportunity.
